High Camp

High camp is our rustic cabin/lodge that dates well over 100 years! It was originally a stop for the Stage Coach that ran between Yampa and Meeker. Its rustic design blends wonderfully into the Alpine setting where it is located. Setting at the Southern end of our upper hay meadows, it is within walking distance to Routt National Forest. We are also planting feed plots of Alfalfa in the areas around High Camp. We ensure natural habitat for all native species that reside on the ranch.

High camp is rustic, but full of charm!. We have propane powered lighting, refrigerator, heat and range. The range is dual fuel, also using wood for heat if desired. We haul fresh water from the Head Quarters daily, to supply the necessary water for all domestic needs. High Camp utilizes a Solar Shower under the covered log deck, and a Vintage Out House for those other “private moments”!

There are 6 single beds, two in the loft, and 4 in the lower sleeping room. The sofa also makes into a queen sized bed.

A new modern camp coming soon

We are in the planning stages of building a “modern” camp to the lower end of the hay meadows. This cabin/lodge will have a more modern flavor than High Camp, boasting electricity, a modern bathroom and kitchen. Sleeping capacity is yet to be determined, as we are unsure exactly how we are going to finish the interior at this time! This camp will set at the North end of our hay meadows, in a wonderful Aspen grove. The front deck will offer a expansive view of our entire private meadows and wet lands area.

Bunk House

The Bunk House was originally built for the wranglers {i.e. 100 years ago}at the Stage Stop, but was moved down to the Head Quarters sometime later. The small log structure has a small kitchen and restroom addition, making it a modern cabin. While small, it is extremely charming. The living area has ample room for a sofa, night stand, television and a full size lower bunk, and a twin sized upper bunk. The ranch uses the bunk house for employee housing, so is only available if not being used at the time.
